Dr. Kappes, or "Dr. K" as per patients call her, is a Nevada native, having grown up in Elko. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Marshall B. Ketchum University's Southern California College of Optometry. She furthered her education with a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada. Dr. Kappes is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the Nevada Optometric Association. She is certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. In 2019, she earned her Nevada Glaucoma Certification. Dr. Kappes is available for comprehensive examinations, as well as glaucoma evaluation and treatment, pediatric eye examination, and specialty contact lens fits. She has a particular passion for the management of dry eye symptoms.
