Dr. Boren is a dedicated optometrist with a longstanding commitment to patient care and community service. He was honored as the Young Optometrist of the Year for the State of Nevada in 2001, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the field early in his career.
Before entering optometry, Dr. Boren taught physics and chemistry, bringing a strong foundation in science to his practice. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and has since served in various leadership roles, including as President of the Northern Nevada Optometric Society.
Dr. Boren is actively involved in the Lions Club and regularly volunteers his time and expertise to charitable and service organizations throughout the region. Outside of the office, he enjoys outdoor adventures and cherishes time spent with his two sons.
Please note that on the first Friday of every month, our office will open at 10 AM to allow time for staff training.
