Dr. Smith is a proud Reno native with deep roots in the local community, having attended Little Flower Elementary and Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego and went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry, now part of Marshall B. Ketchum University.
A dedicated advocate for the profession, Dr. Smith is an active member of the Nevada Optometric Association. She was appointed to the Nevada State Board of Optometry by Governor Brian Sandoval and currently serves as its elected President. In this volunteer leadership role, she works to uphold the highest standards of care and professional integrity for optometrists across the state.
Dr. Smith provides comprehensive eye care and is passionate about managing ocular disease, but she has a special interest in pediatric eye exams and fitting specialty contact lenses. Outside of the clinic, she gives back through international outreach, volunteering with Lions for Sight to deliver much-needed eye care to underserved communities abroad.
